His field of specialization is biostatistics and data analysis to elucidate the various factors in incidence of diarrhoea. He has published 32 papers and is a Life Member of Indian Society For Medical Statistics and the Indian Public Health Association.Dr. Manna completed Post- doctoral Fellow ship in the Department of Bio-Statistics at School of Public Health, University of California, Los Angeles, USA and has received training on research methodology from International Center for Diarrhoeal Diseases, Dhaka,Bangladesh.
