As the WHO collaborative centre for research and training on diarrhoeal diseases – 92 national seminars on oral rehydration therapy were conducted in the different states of India in joint collaboration with WHO-ICMR-DGHS during 1981-1994.

TRAINING OF INTERNATIONAL FELLOWS

  • As a WHO collaborative centre for Research & Training on Diarrhoeal Diseases (till 1997), NICED impart training to visiting WHO Fellows from different S.E. Asian countries on different aspects of diarrhoeal diseases. 74 International WHO Fellows received training at NICED till March 2000

  • As a collaborative research centre of JICA, JICA Fellows received training on diarrhoeal diseases

  • Institute organised short term training on microbiological techniques for the laboratory technicians of different state level laboratories of India/technicians of hospitals laboratories of Govt. and non-Govt. Medical Colleges.
